Sensuality Meets Sexuality (The Venus/Mars Midpoint )

In astrology, a midpoint is literally the middle of two points in a chart. The midpoint shows how the energies of the two points come together. The midpoint between Venus and Mars shows how romance and passion, sensuality and sexuality come together. If you have your Venus and Mars at a difficult angle to one another, you may feel like you struggle to find the right balance between love and passion, or to really understand the two. Their midpoint can help you bring their energies together harmoniously.
When it comes to midpoints, planets in aspect are what you usually pay attention to instead of the sign that the midpoint
falls in (with exception to the Sun/Moon midpoint).

The only aspects that you consider are the “hard” aspects:

                                                        Conjunction – 0 degrees
                                                        Semisquare – 45 degrees
                                                        Square – 90 degrees
                                                        Sesquiquadrate – 135 degrees
                                                        Opposition – 180 degrees

You don’t interpret each aspect individually, and you only consider the hard aspects because those are the ones with the most energy and therefore the most impact. They’re not really interpreted negatively, and you only interpret the energy of the planet in aspect.
Aspects to the Venus/Mars midpoint by:

Sun – Love and romance are important to you to make you feel good about yourself, and you can be a passionate, sensual person by nature. You want to be the star in the relationship, but you also show warmth and loyalty, and when someone gives you the attention and affection you need, that’s when you merge sensuality and sexuality.

Moon – You need love and passion to feel emotionally secure. Your emotions can make it difficult for you to infuse logic into your relationships, and you let your moods determine what you should do in love. Love can fluctuate with you. You need emotional security with a partner to truly let your sensuality and sexuality out.

Mercury – Mental stimulation is important for you, and without it, you have a hard time expressing your love for someone. You may express your sensuality and sexuality best through words, and you need open communication with your partner. If they can get your mind, they can get your heart and body too.

Jupiter – You don’t take love too seriously, and can be sweet and enthusiastic. You express your sensuality and sexuality best when you feel like you’re with someone you can have a good time with, who makes you laugh, and who makes you feel good about life.

Saturn – You take love seriously, and don’t want a relationship that’s light or casual. You let out your sensuality and sexuality when you feel you’re with someone who takes the relationship as seriously as you do, who is stable and reliable, and is completely trustworthy.

Uranus – Your sensuality and sexuality can come out in spurts, coming and going for brief periods, but you merge the two best when you feel you’re with someone who can keep your interest, keep you on your toes, and is their own person. You need to inject new life into the relationship every so often.

Neptune – You can be quite the romantic, and when you feel you’re with someone who is your soul mate, who you connect with on another level, and who feels like a kindred spirit, you can merge your sensuality and sexuality. You need your relationships to be transcendent.

Pluto – You can become obsessed with your partner, and are very passionate and loyal. You merge your sensuality and sexuality when you feel you’re with someone powerful, strong, willful, and in a relationship that transforms you, ignites you, and makes you feel alive.
